Trauma Therapy That Helps You Move Forward
I help high performing people heal from past trauma, manage anxiety, and create meaningful lasting change. If you’re ready to find clarity, balance, and create more connected, supportive relationships, you are in the right place.
A Safe Space to Heal and Grow
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. Whether you’re feeling stuck in old patterns, overwhelmed by anxiety, or carrying the weight of past experiences, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
Meet Lisa
Lisa Franks, LCSW
Founder of Journey to Wellness Counseling and trauma therapist serving individuals and couples in Temecula, CA.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges and move toward deeper healing. As the founder of Journey to Wellness Counseling, I am passionate about creating a supportive space where clients can explore their experiences, gain new perspectives, and develop the tools needed to move forward with confidence.
My work focuses primarily on trauma-informed therapy, helping clients process difficult memories, break free from patterns that no longer serve them, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others. I am Master Certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and trained in EMDR through EMDRIA, both powerful, evidence-based approaches designed to help people resolve traumatic experiences and emotional distress more efficiently.
In addition to ART and EMDR, I integrate a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and attachment-based strategies, to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs. My style is often described as warm, honest, and direct, creating a balance of compassionate support and practical guidance.
How it works
1. Let’s Chat
Reach out to me to set up a consultation call. We'll learn more about each other and you'll have an opportunity to ask me any questions you may have.
2. Getting Started
If we both decide we’re a good fit, we’ll schedule our first appointment. During our first session, I’ll ask you some questions to get a better sense of where you are and we’ll work on setting some goals.
3. See Change
As we work together to reprocess past trauma, challenge old patterns, and build healthier ways of responding, you’ll begin to notice real shifts in how you feel and navigate your life.
