This is Your Journey

Discover a new path to healing. If you have felt stuck after traditional talk therapy or want a healing approach that doesn’t involve discussing painful memories, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a powerful alternative that can result in deep, long-lasting relief.

  • Are You Feeling Drained and Overwhelmed? Balancing work, family, and personal responsibilities often leaves little room for self-care, leading to exhaustion and burnout.

  • Have You Lost Your Sense of Self? Navigating the demands of life can leave you feeling disconnected from who you are, unsure of your values or passions, and struggling to find a sense of direction or purpose.

  • Do You Experience Intense Emotions or Racing Thoughts? Trying to handle everything can make it hard to manage overwhelming feelings or calm your mind, adding to the stress of daily life.

  • Is There Tension or Loneliness in Your Relationships? Stress and emotional challenges can lead to conflict and guilt, making it difficult to connect with others or feel truly understood.

If you are ready for lasting change, you are in the right place.
ART can help.

Imagine your life with…

  • Relief from intrusive memories and triggers: Picture being able to enter a crowded store or hear a specific song without being overwhelmed by anxiety or panic. It simply becomes part of your day.

  • Emotional clarity and balance: The emotional ups and downs of sadness, irritability, or anxiety begin to level out, giving you the ability to face challenges with greater confidence and calm.

  • Improved relationships: Whether it is setting healthier boundaries, being more present with your children, or having meaningful conversations with your partner, you will feel equipped to strengthen the connections that matter most.

  • Increased focus and productivity: Tasks that once felt overwhelming, like completing work projects or managing responsibilities at home, become easier as your mind is freed from constant worry about the future or past trauma.

  • A renewed sense of self: Instead of being stuck in survival mode, you reconnect with your true self, someone who can enjoy hobbies, make choices with ease, and experience joy without guilt or fear.

  • Freedom from old patterns: Habits and thoughts that once limited you, like avoidance, people pleasing, or negative self talk, begin to change, empowering you to build a life that aligns with your goals and values.

My Practice

After years of practicing traditional talk therapy, I recognized that while it can be helpful, many people still found themselves stuck in recurring patterns, struggling with the emotional challenges these patterns created. I wanted to offer something deeper—an approach that not only provided strategies for coping but also facilitated true healing.

My search for more effective treatment led me to Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a research-backed method that helps people process and resolve the root causes of their struggles, without needing to discuss painful details. Witnessing its powerful, lasting impact on the people I have worked with has reshaped my approach to therapy. I primarily use ART, supported by evidence-based talk therapy techniques, to promote meaningful change and emotional well-being.

Healing is possible, and it starts with addressing what’s beneath the surface—not just managing symptoms but transforming the underlying causes. I am committed to helping you move beyond coping toward real, lasting relief and personal growth.

Accelerated Resolution
Therapy

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidenced based, short-term psychotherapy that helps individuals process traumatic memories and reduce the distress they cause. By using bilateral eye movements and other techniques, like visualization, ART reprograms the brain to store these memories in a way that no longer triggers intense emotional reactions. Unresolved trauma is often at the root of anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues.

Paying for therapy

  • I offer multiple payment options for your convenience, including all major credit cards as well as Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards. These options are available to make accessing my services as seamless as possible.

  • As an out-of-network provider, I can provide superbills—detailed receipts that can be submitted to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.

After each session, you’ll receive a superbill with all necessary information, making it easier for you to manage out-of-network claims and get the most from your insurance benefits. Please check with your provider for specific reimbursement policies.

  • If you have out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible to seek reimbursement by submitting claims directly to your insurance provider. To get started, contact your insurance company using the number on the back of your insurance card and ask about the process for submitting superbills, as this may differ from single-session claims.

Please note that state insurance plans, such as Medicaid (Medi-Cal), do not reimburse for out-of-network behavioral health services.

  • Since I am not in-network with any insurance companies, payment for therapy services is due at the time of each session. However, if you have out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement by submitting a claim using a superbill.

The claim process can take some time, and follow-up may be necessary if your insurance company requests additional information or denies the claim. For added convenience, I have partnered with Mentaya to help make this process easier. Please go to my “Rates” page to access the free benefits checker.

  • If you prefer to speak directly with your insurance provider, here are some helpful questions to ask:

    • Do I have behavioral/mental health coverage under my plan?

    • How many outpatient psychotherapy sessions am I allotted in my plan?

    • Do I have out-of-network benefits for behavioral health on my plan?

    • (If yes,) Do I have a deductible?

    • (If yes,) What part of that deductible have I met so far (if at any)?

    • What is my co-pay/co-insurance for out-of-network behavioral health visits?

    • How do I submit “Superbills” for reimbursement?

    • Are there any limitations, requirements, or restrictions in accessing my plan?

    • Am I limited to a dollar amount per year that will be covered?
