My Practice
In the face of the overwhelming demands of motherhood and professional life, finding a sense of peace and balance can feel elusive. I offer a holistic approach that combines Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and talk therapy to help women navigate these challenges. Through the process of ART, we will work to reprocess past trauma to alleviate some of the emotional and physical symptoms of trauma, allowing for deeper healing and transformation. Talk therapy will help deepen and sustain the work we’re doing with ART as we explore underlying beliefs, unhelpful thought patterns, and feelings of disconnection that may arise from juggling responsibilities. This dual approach nurtures both emotional processing and cognitive clarity, empowering you to reclaim your sense of self amidst the chaos. Together, we can address those feelings of numbness, impulsiveness, and the constant need for control, guiding you toward a more balanced, fulfilling life where you can truly relax and be present with your family, career, and most importantly, yourself. It would be an honor to help you find confidence and peace on your journey to lasting change.

Clients & Issues I Treat

Mothers often face mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and burnout, as they balance the demands of parenting, career, and personal life. The pressures of caregiving and societal expectations can impact emotional well-being, self-care, and personal relationships.
-
Professionals
Professionals frequently encounter stress, anxiety, and burnout due to workplace demands, deadlines, and the pressure to perform. These mental health challenges can affect their productivity, emotional resilience, and work-life balance, often leading to feelings of overwhelm and dissatisfaction.
-
Women's Issues
Women’s issues in therapy can include gender roles, body image, reproductive health, and the pressures of balancing multiple life roles. Addressing these challenges in a supportive space can foster greater self-awareness, emotional empowerment, and healthier relationships.
-
Young Adults
Therapy for people who are 25-35 can be geared toward navigating life transitions and/or building coping strategies for stress. The focus is on relationships, fostering insight about one's past, improving one's emotional resilience, and skills for managing life.
-
Trauma
ART therapy for trauma involves processing distressing memories without requiring clients to provide detailed, verbal accounts, allowing for rapid resolution through visualization and eye movements.
-
Anxiety & Phobias
I offer a safe space to explore your fears while encouraging the development of coping strategies. You can challenge distressing thoughts here. Through ART you'll gain greater control over your responses, which will improve your quality of life.
-
Depression
Using ART to address depression can lead to improved mood, enhanced daily functioning, and a brighter outlook on life. Individuals often experience better relationships and increased motivation to pursue their personal goals.
-
Life Transitions
Therapy provides support and guidance during times of change, helping individuals navigate their feelings and uncertainties. It fosters self-discovery and resilience, empowering people to embrace new beginnings with confidence.
Accelerated Resolution
Therapy for Trauma
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidenced based, short-term psychotherapy that helps individuals process traumatic memories and reduce the distress they cause. By using bilateral eye movements and other techniques, like visualization, ART reprograms the brain to store these memories in a way that no longer triggers intense emotional reactions. Many people may not realize that anxiety and depression can often be symptoms of unresolved trauma.
Paying for therapy
-
I offer multiple payment options for your convenience, including all major credit cards as well as Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards. These options are available to make accessing my services as seamless as possible.
-
As an out-of-network provider, I can provide superbills—detailed receipts that can be submitted to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.
After each session, you’ll receive a superbill with all necessary information, making it easier for you to manage out-of-network claims and get the most from your insurance benefits. Please check with your provider for specific reimbursement policies.
-
If you have out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible to seek reimbursement by submitting claims directly to your insurance provider. To get started, contact your insurance company using the number on the back of your insurance card and ask about the process for submitting superbills, as this may differ from single-session claims.
Please note that state insurance plans, such as Medicaid (Medi-Cal), do not reimburse for out-of-network behavioral health services.
-
Since I am not in-network with any insurance companies, payment for therapy services is due at the time of each session. However, if you have out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement by submitting a claim using a superbill.
The claim process can take some time, and follow-up may be necessary if your insurance company requests additional information or denies the claim. For added convenience, I have partnered with Mentaya to help make this process easier. Please go to my “Rates” page to access the free benefits checker.
-
If you prefer to speak directly with your insurance provider, here are some helpful questions to ask:
Do I have behavioral/mental health coverage under my plan?
How many outpatient psychotherapy sessions am I allotted in my plan?
Do I have out-of-network benefits for behavioral health on my plan?
(If yes,) Do I have a deductible?
(If yes,) What part of that deductible have I met so far (if at any)?
What is my co-pay/co-insurance for out-of-network behavioral health visits?
How do I submit “Superbills” for reimbursement?
Are there any limitations, requirements, or restrictions in accessing my plan?
Am I limited to a dollar amount per year that will be covered?
